Aaron and I have been discussing our options lately to open our currently closed adoption. We have told a few people and constantly get the same questions ~ Why would you open an adoption with someone who cannot speak your language, has a different culture and of whom you are blissfully unaware? We have yet to come up with a perfect answer for the first two but the last one we will outright say is … Read entire article »

We had accepted the twins referral back in April unofficially, officially in early July and then waited….and waited. We would sign whatever they sent us and worried that the day would never come that we would be allowed to go to South Korea and pick them up. September 30, 2008 I got an e-mail that I could not believe at all….when you are ready, they are ready. There were a few e-mails back and forth as I could not believe this was really happening and a ton of tears. The day we had been waiting for … Read entire article »

I am so not sure what happened to my beautiful amazing babies but some demon has inhabited them and refuses to let them go (I am kidding, kind of). Since they have so few words and the ones they do have are rarely used correctly, their primary method of communication is to scream until they get what they want. I really should not be using they as if it happens with both of them, because Little Princess does try to get her point across with the few words she knows, sign language and gestures BEFORE … Read entire article »
