{59/365} She doesn’t hate me…
Lately I have been completely remembering when we met Little Man and Little Princess, I vividly recall crying so hard because Little Princess would not let me even look at her without screaming. I was convinced that she hated me. Aaron was on call constantly with her. Once he went back to work, Little Princess would deal with me but only in an effort to wait it out until Aaron got home from work. I was always second best and I slowly became ok with that. {52/365} Dinner at GiGi’s
Today was a monthly dinner with Aaron’s Grandma ~ GiGi ~ she recently moved to a retirement community and so the people there always seem to love it when we come to visit! We usually have at least one resident stop us and ask us to keep bring the kids, tell us how cute the kids are or just smile at us as we pass through the common areas to get to GiGi’s! {51/365} Grandma & Grandpa’s
So today we went to my mom and dad’s house for some fun time with Grandma and Grandpa! I want to remember a few stories: (1) We met my mom and my sister at the ice cream shop where my sister was meeting her wedding photographer to go over her order for her wedding pictures. After Little Princess ate her ice cream she saw the pictures and had so much fun telling me who was in the pictures…she is the queen of being able to identify who people are. You say a name and she can show you where that person’s picture is in our house. Well she was doing that with the proofs my sister had and everyone LOVED it! {47/365} Don’t blink…
I have been trying not to blink lately because I am pretty sure if I do I will miss it all and Little Man and Little Princess will be off to college. I remember when I thought “if only they could walk, life would be easier” and before I knew it they were walking and shortly thereafter running. Now I want to go back to those crawling days, I could catch them faster and would document more of what they did because I now feel like I missed it all. I know that I kept thinking “if only they could talk, life would be so much easier” I now laugh at that one the most! {44/365} Diva in the making…
Today I took new pictures of the kids or I tried…but before I post the pictures from today I want to talk about Little Princess’ clothing obsession. I want to laugh at her but I am afraid that if I did it would just encourage her. Let’s start with her obsession for all things that twirl… If given a choice between pants and a dress or skirt…the dress or skirt will win EVERY time and I mean every time. She not only wears the skirt or dress I have only seen her lift the skirt or dress above her head ONCE. I told her that is not what princess’ do and have never seen her do it again.
