(before the break)
Some days I just want to be a parent…just mama or mommy and not the lady someone in the corner is whispering about or someone else with more guts or less good sense, I am not sure which, is asking questions that are well just not in good taste in front of my children.
Last week, I was asked more than once “So you are the adoptive mother?” The first two times I was tired, hungry and VERY thirsty and had only just arrived at our final destination, I didn’t have it in me to be funny or say something I might later regret and just answered simply “Yes” but after I had some water, a little bit of food and an hour or so of sleep I wondered what the word in front of mother meant and why it was important for her care. I gave them what ...

Sorry I have been MIA here for awhile, heck everywhere. I have not written a real post for GIMH for months and I have about 7 started and none finished. I have an equal number of posts started for this blog and they as well are going no where. My post for GIMH is now two weeks late for this month, my kids are now a month bigger on this site. I am not sure I have what some would call writer’s block as I have a lot of things I want to write about, but writing about those things will get me yelled at by someone or ignored by someone or could be just plain controversial and lately I am just not in the mood. I usually leave the controversial stuff to GIMH, matter of fact I have a post I wrote some time ago on this site I ...

There is something about being angry, you know the kind of angry that it not only does not easily go away and just fuels the depression you have been living in for awhile.
Life sucks right now…yep I just cussed, for those reading for awhile you know that I do not usually do that actually I am not sure I have ever done that on the blog no matter how bad things have got or how angry I am over a situation. I am there now ~ maybe it is the situation I am living, maybe it is seven years of anger building and just now coming out, maybe it is the lack of sleep, maybe I don’t care anymore ~ there are a lot of maybes but no real answers. I suspect that it has something to do with all of the maybes happening all at the same time but ...

The best laid plans of mice and men…that is me. NOTHING got done today, nothing. Little Princess is not feeling well and she is clinging to me a lot ~ feels like 24/7 clinging and whining and the nose that will not stop running. She hates me for a few minutes when we start breathing treatments but then she feels better for a bit so she is back to clinging. So I am sorry but this is all I have today:

(she is trying to walk in my shoes)

Ok so after last night I need a way to avoid everything else happening in our lives. For over a week now I have been setting everything up so that I can work from home doing customer service at night, so I can earn a few extra dollars.
It started out as a joke. I was tweeting about earning a few extra dollars to support my sewing habit. Then a woman I tweet with often tweeted me, actually she privately messaged me that it was not only possible she was doing it and making money at it. I was surprised. She gave me some info and I looked into it and found out I really could do this, the company was on the up and up and while it would take a bit of time and a few start up things on my end, working from home is NOT a scam ...

Have you ever had one of those days ~ one of those days when your whole world comes crashing down around you. When your world falls apart at your feet and don’t know if you can if pick up all the pieces and move on…today is one of those days for me. Where you are so angry at the people you perceive to be at fault that you cannot see straight?
I have talked for hours and got no where ~ I have cried and I have yelled. I am not sure where I am going to go from here…I am not even sure how to blog about it. But if I do then I will password protect those posts, on purpose and the password has yet to be determined.
I am off to pray and think and attempt to sleep….

There is an adoption blog that I follow that until today made me cry for all the right reasons. More than FIVE years ago this family started their adoption journey. Below is part of an article about their story…I have taken names and places out because well I felt it necessary until they are back on US soil…
Heartache and Faith
The journey to parenthood for (where they live) couple

In June of 2004, the adoptive parents of (where they live) began the process to adopt a child. At the time, they knew they were in for a heart challenging ride, but had no idea what they were really in for. After talking to several other families who had gone through the process of an international adoption, they decided to adopt a child from Irkutsk, Russia. In July, 2004, the paperwork was completed and filed with the Russian government. The parents were planning ...

Have you ever felt left out of a conversation or felt like if you say something it may not be taken in the right light? That is where I am at right now. My best friend from high school has found herself unexpectedly pregnant! She and her husband were not trying mostly because they have moved past that stage with their girls who are 16 and 10 but they are very excited about this pregnancy and before you read the rest of this post and think that I am not so am I…just tonight I was thinking she deserves a baby shower (she did not get a proper one with the 16 year old…long story). So I am very happy for her…but for the first time ever I am at a complete loss of words with her.
First…I was very upset, not at her but at the situation. She is 3 ...

I am not usually a huge fan of the Olympics. I usually boycott all things Olympics for the Olympics but after the day I had (I will explain in a minute) I thought what can it hurt to watch the opening ceremonies. I am loving this! The exchange student gets a geography lesson from me and the countries participating in the Olympics and the music. I am a music nut so I am all for that and the special effects were beyond amazing. So maybe I need to rethink the Olympic ban in the house. But the fiddlers left me going huh….just saying.
So today I was supposed to be able to get out of the house…go BY MYSELF to do 2 hours of zoomba for Haiti relief…it didn’t happen. Almost because I forgot about it until Alison reminded me but she reminded me in PLENTY of time to get there ...
