30 Days of Little Man and Little Princess ~ Day 3

Toni over at A Daily Dose of Toni is doing a 30 Days of Me blog along and we are on day 3 ~ Favorite TV show:

First, I must say that anymore we do not allow much TV at our house and when we do there are about 3 channels they can watch, though typically the TV is on the Disney channel because well at least there I have an idea what they will be seeing and hearing during commercials. They also LOVE the Food network and well the DIY channel (probably because they get to see a lot of demolition on that channels)!!!

Today I get off easy they share favorite TV shows!

Imagination Movers ~ seriously if you have a child that is say 2 years old to preschool or kindergarten you will want to see this show both Aaron and I like it, the music is not well bad for an adult (we were actually going to take them to an Imagination Movers concert then Little Princess broke her leg and well we thought that would be mean as there is a lot of dancing at these things) I have to say I hate the WIggles and Barney was NEVER allowed at our house but Imagination Movers, we have a dvd many episodes on demand and quite a few recorded as well as the TV version of the concert on the iPad, and all of their music (which also made it to a few of my playlists…sshhhhhhh) so check them out!

Here is a song from when Cinderella came to them as she didn’t want to go back home and be Cinderella again and she didn’t believe the prince was coming for her (it was a very cute play on the story):

Then of course they LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Toodles :) While one would think this Disney crazy mom could not get tired of that big adorable Mouse after an hour one would be wrong ~ but for an hour he is cute then I am ready to move on to the Movers :)

Their favorite part of the show is the Hot Dog dance at the end (and by the end of the hour it is my favorite part as well):

There you have it :) The two most requested shows at our house :)

M-I-C-K-E-Y

So Aaron and I have been planning and trying to figure out the kids first trip to either Disneyland or Disney World. We think at their age and their height/weight that Disneyland would be better for the money! (Remember Little Man could really wear size 12 months shorts….poor kid walks out of his 18 month size pants if we are not careful, skinny kids I have, not to mention we are barely 36 inches tall…)

So anyway, since we will be in CA and we know we will be seeing Aaron’s sister as well we are planning to do a lot of fun things – Disney (for 3 days at least included in that time meeting the princess, go to the boutique, meet the Mickey and the gang etc…), Sea World, the SD Zoo, possibly Lego Land and just lounge by the pool! Mommy will be meeting a friend of hers as well. See a busy week or so and we will stay on Disney property!

So I need suggestions of things to do, places to go etc… My kids are NOT picky eaters and hopefully by then will be all set! Also if anyone knows of a great Korean restaurant in any of the places we will be even better!

Yesterday though the kids were getting in the mood. Aunt Amy sent them these hats for their first Christmas (more for mommy then than them) and they saw them in the playroom hanging on the hooks and wanted to wear them. So this is what came down the steps at me:

{39/365} “Ninnie”

Better known as Minnie – Little Princess’ FAVORITE Disney character. She will point “Ninnie” out anywhere he sees her. I hope we are able to take her to Califorina at the end of the year or beginning of next year to see Aunt Amy (another new favorite word “Amy”) and Minnie. Anyway, I found a crochet pattern for a Minnie Mouse purse. I made some changes to the purse and spent a few hours over a few days making it.

So here is the purse:

And here is my “ninnie” lover with her purse:

I am working on Mickey now!

My favorite tree…

Usually I decorate our second Christmas tree with blue and silver glass balls and go with a general blue and silver theme. Any way this year I decided that the tree with the glass balls could not be decorated in the usual method because well all of the glass balls would end up broken by my little explorers so I decided to decorate this tree in their honor and in one of my favorite ways – Disney! Yep I took all of my Disney ornaments and put them on one tree, put my Minnie ears on top as a tree topper and I LOVED the tree and so did the kids. I cannot tell you how many times I had to put the Mickey ornaments back on the tree and use my line “these are just for looking with our eyes and not touching with our hands…” and that line totally didn’t work at all!

I have so many Christmas posts and I am working on more (I committed to 30 posts about Christmas and getting ready for Christmas!) But this is my favorite so far so welcome to those from the SITSgirls site and Merry SITSmas!!!!!

So here is the tree:
