{18/365} “What is that?”
Someone – anyone – remind me that I wanted Little Man and Little Princess to talk so badly that they had a speech therapist for a year before they were released (because they were ready…) because if I hear the words “What is that?” again I may just have to scream. Little Man points to everything and I mean everything and asks “what is that” even if he knows full well what it is. Those are pretty much his only words (he also says “ot-oh” and “whoo whoo”) that you can for sure tell what he is saying (he “talks” to his sister ALL the time but we have not a clue what they are saying). {17/365} Nap time Chaos
For Christmas 2008, we gave Aaron’s Grandma – GiGi to Little Man and Little Princess – monthly play dates and it worked so well that for Christmas 2009 we decided to continue the monthly play dates with a few modifications. Today was supposed to be our first play date of 2010 – notice the words “supposed to.” Lately we have been having nap issues. Little Man fights naps so badly that when he is laid down at 1 pm for nap time he will do EVERYTHING possible to stay awake – since there is very little in his crib and all of the toys are in the play room, he usually will talk to anything that will listen for up to two hours before he will lay down and go to … Read entire article »

{14/365} Watching my P’s and Q’s
Today it hit me that I no longer have two little babies that don’t understand or pay attention to what I do. See we have a morning routine that I love — Aaron lets me sleep in because usually I am up late dealing with one or both of the kids – usually just one, Little Princess. So he gets me up at 9 am when he is getting ready for work and then he leaves. The kids love their daddy time and I love the two extra hours of sleep! {13/365} The Mean Mom…
Today I was finally able to access Sunny’s grades online. She has 7 classes, we have known all along that she was not doing well in one class though she was doing very well in the others. We thought she was trying…today I learned that was NOT the case. She had not turned in more than half of her homework assignments, one major project and failed every test and quiz….she didn’t even take one test. I called her into the living room and we had what I am going to call “her one and only warning talk” she was told the following would happen if she did not clean up her act (1) I would have her cell phone (2) she would lose ALL computer time — I actually told … Read entire article »

{12/365} Fun with Aunt Amy
Today the twins played most of the day while Mommy sewed and got ready for dinner with their visiting Aunt Amy! Dinner was so much fun and we let the twins stay up late to play and they showed Aunt Amy all their favorite toys and games…if they didn’t wear Aunt Amy out I will be surprised!
