Today was so surreal that I am not even sure where to begin…I think that this process has been very surreal for me. I know that when you are actually pregnant, you can anticipate what is to come and I have been told that you start to see many women around you who are also pregnant. Ok since I needed a break from preparing for trial on Monday and Tuesday I will post to here – so sorry if there are no more posts until Tuesday…. A DOSSIER IS…. No matter what country you are hoping to adopt from, you will be required to compile a dossier. What does the word dossier mean? The WorldNet Dictionary describes a dossier as “a collection of papers containing detailed information about a particular person or subject (usually a person’s record).” When referring to an adoption, the dossier is the compilation of required documents you will need to gather for the country you are hoping to adopt from. Ok so I guess that I thought the paperwork would take FOREVER….but today the US government restored my faith in the quickness of the world! Less than three weeks after we sent them in we received our FBI fingerprints back and happily Aaron and I both have NO arrest records! (Was anyone concerned???? hehe) So anyone want to take bets on how long it will take the state of Illinois?!?! We are down to each of our medical appointments, Aaron’s individual visit and our actual home visit! It feels like we are ending the first part of the first step and with not too many terrible problems! Let’s continue to pray for smooth sailing!!!!!!
