15 Parenting Truths – Day 6

Playing at Grandma and Grandpa’s house – they had fun doing this and were not so sure at first which is when the picture was taken! See this crocheted hat – my mom’s mom (my grandma) made it for me and my mom gave it to me this weekend and I tried it on her today – look for a better photoshoot with her and this hat soon – today I was just trying it out. I also have some other clothes my grandma made for me or my siblings I plan to take sime pictures in so start looking for some vintage pictures 6. Moms don’t get to rest. Ever. (Or rather, hardly ever.) Ok I started out thinking I would link to all of the blogs I read that … Read entire article »

15 Parenting Truths – Day 5

(Not my babies feet – Alison’s baby’s feet but I did take the picture.) In honor of change – check out the pigs – they no longer stick straight up. Believe it or not I cried – my little girl is growing up! And this position shows just how flexible she is – and she sits like this ALL the time! I love how he is saying some on lets go have some fun – and they did…he makes me laugh when he does that! (Can you tell the room with the best light is their room – they LOVE to play in there and I love to take pictures in there!) 5. In the last three months I have been trying to learn how to go with the flow and to some extent feel Little Man and Little Princess out before I plan something so that the plan is not totally destroyed BUT it seems as if they know I made a plan and do everything in their power to destroy that plan. Such as the playdte with their dad’s parents where they chose not to take a nap all day … Read entire article »

15 Parenting Truths – Day 3

One of my favorites of Little Man – I did do some editing to this picture but I love it edited and not edited. I really like these onesies – and on some days I really think that it is true Anyway I wanted pictures of them together in them which meant LOTS of bad pictures and no good ones – this is one of the better ones and currently it is unedited. (I have a TON of pictures to edit…now if I just had great software that I loved to do it…) – On to the parenting truth 3. Almost all aspects of parenting are trial and error. You never know what might work, so why not give it a try? Oh lord how this one is so true for … Read entire article »

15 Parenting Truths – Day 2

I love the way she is reading away and he is looking like where is mine mom… 2.         Time flies when you have a kid. And there’s no way to hit the pause button to make it stop.             Those in the process of an adoption or even pregnancy want time to fly by and be with their child NOW and not when it happens and then when the baby/child arrives we immediately want time to slow again and move at a snail’s pace. We only get so much time for leave from work, or we want to experience each age/stage/phase fully before we move on to the next (though there are a few phases I wish I could fast forward through already). Every morning I get a few hours of … Read entire article »
