Ok I am NOT allowed to read any more adoption blogs today. Just a sprinkle of what is going on ~ one family just ended a years long battle and will be bringing their now 7 year old daughter home VERY soon, one family just answered the call to adopt a beautiful baby girl, another just got their travel call to meet/bring home their daughter and I am itching for us to be next. See it was not that long ago that I told Aaron who is ready to start the next adoption, that it would not be happening until at least August 10, 2010 so don’t bring it up again until then PERIOD. {3/365} A Work Day….
So one of the things I want to finish this year is to complete some projects around the house. Something Aaron and I have been talking about for a few years but never got around to is putting up ceiling fans in the living room so that we could have better air circulation and then moving one of the light fixtures from the living room to the foyer where there was an original light fixture BUT he and his ex wife took the fixture down and then lost pieces of it. Anyway we also wanted to see if an electrician could hang the other fixture over the landing for the steps. We realize for all that to happen we had to start making some choices. Aaron tries his first Vietnamese food….
Ok so I am sorry it has been a few days since our last post but those few days have been JAMMED with information and experiences! First paperwork issues….(1) We have mailed off the application for my passport (I have waited forever to get one of these and cannot wait to use it!) I should have it in 6 to 8 weeks!!!!! (2) We received a call from the adoption agency that partners with ours – for now we are approved for two children and we are moving ahead full speed (no one yet has told us that we cannot say that we would prefer a boy and a girl – even if we will take whatever we get!) This is our first blog ever but we figure that we could add that to a lot of firsts lately! I guess this post will be about Aaron and I… (and I should add a disclaimer that Carissa will most likely be the one doing most of the posting – I tend to be a bit verbose so I apologize in advance!)
