What to pack
So I stand in the middle of the nursery trying hard to decide which clothes and how many to take for each child…this is not an easy choice. I want them to be cute and comfortable on the plane. And I want the clothes to fit and I am still at a loss for actual sizes. Then I move to my closet and I have no clothes that fit right and look good. How much notice does that show “what not to wear” need before they will come and help. And I am dead serious, I am going to look horrible when I meet my kids. And the worst part no time to shop for me..not that I would find anything anyway. Jess, still willing to talk me off that ledge? I just may need it. I fear I will look like a lawyer…not ideal when meeting the people who are handing over the children they have raised for you… HELP

Congratulations! I’m so so so happy for you to bring your babies home. They are beautiful and look so healthy and well taken care of! I can’t wait to see them in your arms at last.
For packing- we packed TONS of stuff. Our stay in Vietnam was a little over 2 weeks and we went to the south and north which had two very different climates at that time of year so we had to pack lots of warm weather and cold weather stuff for Ellie and ourselves. I hear that the shopping in Korea is great, so I’m sure if you are in need of something you will be able to find it easy enough! Just make sure you have 3 changes for each baby on the plane ride home PLUS a change of clothes for each of the adults. and snacks! Those airlines don’t give you much food and when they did pass out food it was unrecognizable and really gross.
Email me if you need anything!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
YOu will know what to pack you always do. Pray and have faith. Luv me
Yes, I am still willing to talk you off the ledge. Here’s the first thing, you’ve already shown the people who are giving you your babies that you are a caring, nurturing mother who loves those kids. So although I know you would like to look your best, you will look fabulous to the people who know you’ll love them. You don’t want to look like a lawyer – simple, don’t take your suit! haha. Really though, whatever you wear will be fine. I think this worrying about clothes is just one of the many long lists of worries you will go through until you get back, and then you’ll figure out that all that matters is those little babies toddling around your house. As for the kids clothes, can’t help you there. But I will always talk you off the ledge Carissa. That’s my job!
Oh wait – I forgot to add – So stop your whining. haha. Hope to see you this weekend.
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t believe we are missing eachother by only a few days.
I just got home, so I haven’t read all of your posts.
Are you staying at ESWS?
Even if you don’t…they will provide you will diapers, bottles, some food for your babies, a bag to carry it all, and baby carriers if you need it.
All children will be dressed in 2 layers for their journey home. Since we got our daughter the day before, I basically used the “under garments” for most of her clothing needs. I did bring one change of clothes for her, but didn’t need it.
Things you should bring:
Wipes (you can never have enough)
Yogurt (you can buy it at any family mart…great easy travel food for babies)
Perhaps extra diapers…but we didn’t need it
Small toys to keep them entertained
Gerber puffs!!! I seriously think God invented them for situations like this….really easy and since they melt easily…you know they will like them.
I hope this helps and I wish you all the best!!!!
I am so glad we got to spend time there, but really glad to be home tonight, in fact…going to bed now. I just re-lived Friday twice.
